Joint Board Call Meeting June 4, 2020 @ 6PM

All ministry Presidents, Leaders and Advisors are encouraged to attend an important meeting for the purpose of discussing the reinstatement of Antioch's church services during the pandemic of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).  All attending the meeting shall enter the main front entrance of the church for COVID-19 screening.  Social distancing will be required and wearing a mask, temperature scans and hand sanitizing are highly recommended.

Virginia Governor Ralph S. Northam issued executive orders 53 and 55, which forbid gatherings of more than 10 individuals until June 10, 2020.   The Antioch Baptist Church will comply with these executive orders and suspend services until these orders are amended or rescinded by further executive orders.

The church building is shutdown but the spiritual church is still functioning.  Pastor Finch, Deacons, Deaconesses and Trustees are standing by to support the members of Antioch whenever possible.   Members should inform the pastor and the chairman of the Deacons if:

1.    A member or their family member is infected with the COVID-19 virus.

2.    A member experiences a severe financial need such as a loss of job or reduction in work hours making it difficult to pay bills/rent.

Finally, compliance with these executive orders places a financial burden on Antioch, because the church operating costs are reduced but not eliminated.  The Trustees have done everything possible to reduce costs such as lowering the thermostat; however, the church continues to incur costs for utilities, maintenance and salaries. The trustees of Antioch Baptist Church request that members financially support Antioch during the shutdown, if the members' financial circumstances permit.  Members may financially support Antioch by:

1.    Contributing electronically (see website or facebook page for details)

2.    Mailing checks to the following address:

Antioch Baptist Church

P.O. Box 36

King George, VA 22485-0036

3.    Holding donation envelopes until services are resumed.
