ANTIOCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Pastor Finch celebrates communion during his fourth Sunday sermon on Facebook. Communion wine and crackers kits are available to the congregation upon request. Contact Deacon Johnson or Deacon Beverley.
The church building is closed but the spiritual church is still functioning. Pastor Finch posts a weekly sermon to Facebook each Sunday. Pastor Finch, Deacons, Deaconesses, Trustees and Missionaries are standing by to support the members of Antioch whenever possible. Members should inform the Pastor and the chairman of the Deacons if:
-
There is an update to the Sick and Shut-in list
-
There is an update to the prayer list
-
A member experiences a severe financial need such as a loss of job or reduction in work hours making it difficult to pay bills/rent.
The Antioch Baptist Church will hold a ZOOM Church meeting on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM. The meeting agenda includes the 2021 Church budget, the 2020 Church financial report, and a Joint Board recommendation for the resumption of face-to-face services. If members do not have the Bible study ZOOM information, please contact Deacon Micheal Williams at email: michealw563@gmail.com or phone: 540 413-6402. Members can verify their ZOOM meeting access, by participating in Bible Study held each Wednesday at 7:30PM.
Closure of the church building places a financial burden on Antioch, because the church operating costs are reduced but not eliminated. The Trustees have done everything possible to reduce costs such as lowering the thermostat; however, the church continues to incur costs for utilities, maintenance and salaries. The trustees of Antioch Baptist Church request that members financially support Antioch during the shutdown, if the members' financial circumstances permit.
