Pastor Kendrick Bailey 

First Lady Catherine Bailey

Reverend Dr. Kendrick Bailey was born in Houston, Texas to Samuel and Laura Bailey. He is the youngest of four children. He is married to Catherine Bailey and together they have one daughter, Brittney, and one son, Brandon. Rev. Dr. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government and Biblical Studies from Liberty University and also a Masters in Theological Studies from Liberty University. In addition, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PHD) from Tennessee Temple University in the area of church leadership. His doctoral dissertation was entitled "Transformational Leadership and Its Impact on Christian Spirituality in U.S. Jails and Prisons". Rev. Dr. Bailey is a Marine veteran and has been employed with the federal government for over 20 years. Rev. Dr. Bailey was licensed to preach the gospel on October 6, 2002 at First Baptist Church Vienna, VA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kenny Smith. While at First Baptist, Rev. Dr. Bailey led the Jail and Prison Ministry, which involved conducting spiritual counseling and preaching every Sunday night at the Fairfax County Detention Facility. In 2003, Rev. Dr. Bailey was recognized as "Mentor of the Year" by the Good News Jail and Prison ministry for his service at the jail. In addition, Rev. Dr. Bailey was certified as an instructor with Prison Fellowship Ministries and trained church volunteers in DC, MD, VA and West Virginia to minister to inmates. Rev. Dr. Bailey was also certified as a Walk Thru the Bible Instructor and has conducted Walk Thru the Old Testament Seminars in Virginia Prisons. In addition to maintaining a letter writing ministry to inmates, Rev. Dr. Bailey also published a quarterly newsletter called "The Scroll" that provided encouragement and biblical education to inmates incarcerated in Virginia Prisons. Since moving to southern Maryland and uniting with Antioch Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Bailey continues to be actively involved in ministering to individuals during incarceration and after release. Although Rev. Dr. Bailey has served as an instructor for national ministries and been a professor at a Bible College and Seminary, he most enjoys teaching the members of Antioch Baptist Church and watching them grow in Christ.

Sister Bailey was born and raised in Trinidad. She enjoyed a successful career in business, designing, and sales before leaving to provide a homeschooled Christian education for their children, Brittney and Brandon. She holds certifications in early childhood development, oral motor functions, and sensory disorders. Her most fulfilling role has been as a wife and mother. In addition to her ongoing support of Rev. Bailey, she is actively involved with the children’s church and missionary ministry.
